About the winery
In 1989, 15 grape growers from the Güímar Valley (Tenerife), led by Marcial Gómez, decided to form the S.A.T. Viticultores Comarca de Güímar, with the aim of producing the first bottled wine in the area. As we had no winery of our own, we rented a small hall in the Chacona neighbourhood (Güímar), where we began making and bottling some 15,000 bottles of white wine a year under the Pico Cho Marcial brand. In 1996 construction of the current winery was completed, in a privileged spot overlooking the whole valley.
