About the winery
Bodega El Cercado is in Tacoronte, in the north of Tenerife and within the Tacoronte-Acentejo D.O. It occupies a small restored house that is part of Finca El Cercado, where they also grow an organic fruit and vegetable garden. It is run by Francisco, a winemaker with many years of experience, who shows visitors around the facilities and tells the stories of the winery and how they make their wines. The visit covers the winery and the estate and includes a wine tasting, and it can also be rounded off with breakfast or lunch on site, a simple plan closely tied to rural life in Tenerife.
