About the winery
Located in the south of the province of Ourense, amid unrivalled natural surroundings, stand Bodegas Franco Basalo. José Manuel Franco began building it, driven by a family legacy closely tied to winegrowing: his father was a wine and grape merchant and his grandfather a muleteer at a time when the roads of Galicia were travelled by carts and livestock carrying the produce of the land from village to village on journeys that lasted days.
