Bodega Frontos
About the winery
In the new Frontos winery, special care has been taken to adapt the building to its site: it is built on an old quarry and set into the Jable dyke. The traditional materials of the South have been used, exposed stone (pozzolana) covering the concrete, and the winery was designed as a bioclimatic building to improve the thermal insulation and natural ventilation required, minimising energy consumption through passive systems; the entire front of the winery is a solar wall that uses natural convection to control the temperature of the winery.
