About the winery
In 1989 several winegrowers jointly revived an activity, winegrowing and winemaking, that has historically had great socio-economic importance in Bizkaia. In 1995 they opened their first facilities in Muskiz, with a capacity of 25,000 litres, and in 2002 the winery moved to Gernika, a privileged spot in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. Mountain slopes close to the Bay of Biscay give the winery its name and its most valuable asset: 35 ha of vineyards.
