About the winery
Bodega LoHer is a family project in La Victoria de Acentejo, in the north of Tenerife, within the D.O. Tacoronte-Acentejo. It began as a hobby of Lorenzo Hernández, who sold young red wine in demijohns to local restaurants, and since 2013 it has been run by his daughter Fátima Hernández, the year the winery registered with the appellation and began bottling. It works with family plots on the mid-slopes of La Victoria, La Matanza and El Sauzal, including El Loro, the oldest, and San Clemente, in Santa Úrsula. It grows Listán Negro, Listán Blanco, Negramoll, Tintilla, aromatic Malvasía, Baboso Blanco and Marmajuelo, and makes single-plot wines using clay jars, amphorae and French oak barrels, as well as the Cosecheras series.
