Bodega Niray
About the winery
Vinos Niray is a young winery in Alajeró, in the south of La Gomera, within the D.O. La Gomera, linked to Agropecuaria El Guanche. It grew out of the work of humble growers who, generation after generation, have tended Forastera Gomera, a variety native to the island and present there for centuries. Its vineyards grow among ravines, exposed to the trade winds, in a volcanic landscape that gives the wines freshness. They combine artisan winemaking with modern techniques to produce three wines: Niray Blanco Seco, fresh and lively; Niray Blanco Semi, soft and aromatic; and Niray Tinto. At the winery they offer guided tastings and visits that take in the vineyards, explain the winemaking and let you taste the wines in their setting, with direct sales.
