About the winery
Bodega Las Casitas is a small family winery in the area of La Piedra Gorda, in Agulo, in the north of La Gomera, within the D.O. La Gomera. It was founded by Ramón García and later run by his son, also Ramón García, who passed his love of wine on to his wife, Julia, and his children, Jorge and Teresa, who work there today. The family has been part of the winery since 1997 through the S.A.T. Las Casitas. Its wines are sold under the Piedra Gorda label: a dry white and an off-dry white made from forastera gomera, listán blanco, malvasía aromática and marmajuelo, and a rosé from negramoll and tintilla with strawberry, raspberry and cherry aromas. According to the regulatory council, its vineyards are being improved in volume, quality and wine styles.
