Bodega San Juan

◍ Las Palmas

About the winery

Bodega San Juan stands on the Bandama road, in Santa Brígida, very close to the Bandama caldera, in the area of the former Monte Lentiscal, regarded as the oldest wine district on Gran Canaria and now part of the D.O. Gran Canaria. It is one of the island's longest-standing wineries: it was founded in 1912 by Juan Rodríguez Quegles and his wife Carmen Millán Socorro, and has been passed down within the same family for five generations. Its wines are made by hand, aiming to keep the area's traditional methods while bringing technical improvements into the cellar. The winery offers guided visits that tour the facilities and end with a tasting of its wines.
