About the winery
Santalba, the name of this winery, comes from combining the first name and surname of its owner and founder: Santiago Ijalba. With the experience gathered since 1964 in making and ageing great wines, Santiago Ijalba decided to launch his own personal project, Bodegas Santalba. Since then the winery has kept an entirely family character and has the support of his children, who combine the winemaking tradition of the family they belong to with international oenological training.
