About the winery
Bodega Siguín is a family winery in Pelayos de la Presa, on the foothills of the Sierra de Gredos, within the D.O. Vinos de Madrid, with modest, modern facilities built from scratch. It works only with Garnacha Tinta from Cadalso de los Vidrios, from vines over 50 years old, bush-trained and dry-farmed on granite at around 800 metres, with pruning and harvesting by hand. In the cellar it favours minimal intervention: native yeasts, short macerations and ageing in French oak barrels, unfined and only lightly filtered. Its range includes Siguín 7:47, PK-3, the rosé PinK-3, the plot wine Garnacha de Relieve, a Pet-Nat, the sweet Flytrap and the vermouth KDLSO. It runs small-group visits to the vineyards and facilities, ending with a tasting of three wines and a vermouth.
