About the winery
Bodega Tajinaste was founded in 1977 as the generational successor to a winemaking tradition of the García Farráis family. The vineyards are included in the Valle de La Orotava Denomination of Origin. The oldest vines, of the Listán Negro and Listán Blanco varieties, were planted around 1914 with a singular training system called “Cordón múltiple trenzado” (multiple braided cordon). For several years now, work has been under way on growing native varieties in single cordon and Royat, which will very soon bear fruit in new projects.
