About the winery
When Agustín Cubero built the first winery in 1881 in a small village called Godojos, he could never have imagined that his family would still be carrying on his tradition in the 21st century. At first the infrastructure consisted only of a network of cellars and underground passages. People lived alongside the wines, pampered them, and they became the centre of their lives. The effort of his work and his enthusiasm, together with the quality of his grapes, made his son Tomás Cubero carry on.
