Bodegas Breca was founded by Jorge Ordóñez in 2010 with the aim of making the best Garnacha wines in Spain. Garnacha de Aragón, the clone used to produce Bodegas Breca's wines, is the oldest and most genetically intact clone of Garnacha in the world. This variety was first grown in the north-east of the Iberian Peninsula and crossed the Mediterranean just as the Kingdom of Aragon did, which held territories on the other side of that sea.
