About the winery
The Contreras were a family of winegrowers and winemakers settled in Rociana. In 1883 Gregorio Contreras López was born, a farmer working his own land, from which he harvested grapes to make wine for sale. In 1949 Gregorio's son, Antonio Contreras Labrador, taking advantage of the growing demand for wine, invested in buying new estates and built new winemaking facilities.
