Bodegas del Socorro

About the winery

Bodegas Nuestra Señora del Socorro is the wine cooperative of Rociana del Condado, in the D.O. Condado de Huelva. It was officially founded in 1957, when some two hundred members joined forces to give production a new structure in a district that had enjoyed its golden age of wine between the mid-19th century and the 1920s. Today it brings together around 120 members and about 300 hectares of vineyards, in a countryside dominated by Zalema, the native white grape of the Condado, alongside red varieties. It bottles its wines under the Viñagamo brand, with young whites such as Selección and Etiqueta Negra, semi-sweet wines and rosés; El Gamo, with a white, a rosé and a young red; Don Frede, with a young red and a crianza; and Gamblue, a blue frizzante.
