About the winery

Bodegas Esteban Castejón is in Ibdes, in the Calatayud D.O., in the area known as the water triangle, between the Monasterio de Piedra and the La Tranquera reservoir, close to the spa towns and an Aragonese nature park. Founded in 1940, it has three generations of family devoted to growing and making wine. It ferments in lined concrete tanks and keeps underground tanks where the wine ferments the old way. It works with red Garnacha, white Garnacha and Malvasía, with wines such as Sargas de Idues, the Tranquera range in white, rosé and Garnacha, and 180 Noches Malvasía. It offers visits that tour the facilities, explain how it makes its wines and end with a tasting of the wines currently on the market.
