Bodegas Fernando Castro

About the winery

Bodegas Fernando Castro was founded in 1850 and is the oldest winery in Castilla-La Mancha run by the same family. The Castro family began making white and red wines from grapes grown on their own property in Santa Cruz de Mudela, following the traditional methods of the area. Since 1895, Bodegas Fernando Castro has been present in the most important parts of the country, thanks to the well-known Wine Train and later through its own transport network, earning the trust of the large purchasing centres.
