About the winery
Bodegas J. Ferris M. is a small family winery in the Jerez area, set on an albariza hill on the road between El Puerto de Santa María and Sanlúcar de Barrameda, where the influence of the Guadalquivir, the Guadalete and the sea breeze can be felt. It was founded in 1975 by Jesús Ferris Marhuenda and his wife, Cándida Ruiz Laynez, owners of long-established vineyards, and today the third generation runs it. It works with Palomino Fino and the criaderas and solera system, and makes a full range of fortified wines: Manzanilla La Piconera, Fino, Amontillado, Oloroso, Palo Cortado, Cream, Moscatel and Pedro Ximénez. It also rents out its spaces, surrounded by vineyards, for weddings, business meetings and celebrations.
