About the winery
Bodegas Luque was founded in 1920 by José Luque Campos, father of the current owners, under the name Bodegas Luque Campos. He started in the wine business by buying small lots of American oak casks, which he filled with local wines of great quality and finesse. José Luque's dedication and love for wine meant that the wines aged in his cellar gradually gained prestige and fame, first in Doña Mencía, then in nearby towns and finally in Spain's main cities and towns.
