About the winery
Mas Comtal is a small wine estate with 40 hectares of organically farmed vineyard, located in the easternmost part of the Penedès, at the foot of the Garraf. It is influenced by the Mediterranean Sea and protected from the cold north winds by the Montserrat massif. It lies at 350 metres above sea level, on Quaternary soils of sand, silt and clay. Its soils are very calcareous, of medium type and characterised by great permeability to water.
