About the winery
The Monte Amán S.L. winery and vineyards are located in Castrillo Solarana, whose municipality and district belong to the Arlanza area, where the tradition of winemaking and vine growing goes back to the third century, in Roman times. This is attested by the remains still preserved in the Lara district and the Sierra de Covarrubias. In Visigothic times vines were grown in Quintanilla de las Viñas. But it would not be until the ninth and tenth centuries that the vineyards of the Arlanza were repopulated.
