Muss is one of the wines of Bodegas Licinia, a project in Morata de Tajuña, in the south-east of the Community of Madrid and within the D.O. Vinos de Madrid, involving names such as Víctor Algora and José Ramón Lisarrague. The area works with old Tempranillo and Malvar vines, and Licinia bet on the vineyards of this part of the region. Muss was conceived as a lightly oaked red, easy to drink and not meant only for the table: it blends Tempranillo, which brings structure, Cabernet Sauvignon, which adds depth, Syrah, which contributes fruit, and a touch of Merlot, and spends around six months in 500-litre oak barrels to balance wood and fruit.
