About the winery
Since 1917. La Humildad Sociedad Cooperativa de CLM of El Toboso (Toledo) was founded on 15 August 1917 under the original name “La Dulcinea”, with 35 founding members and a capacity to receive 600,000 kg of white and red grapes; it had share capital of 30,000 pesetas divided into 300 shares of 100 pesetas. It was later renamed “Quijote”, and on 22 May 1951 it adopted its current name. Back then: some curious and representative facts from that time that will catch the attention of today's young people are that a day's labour was paid 3 pesetas.
