About the winery
Founded in 1989, Bodegas Remírez de Ganuza was born as a personal venture of its founder, Fernando Remírez de Ganuza. From the outset the idea has been the same: to make an exhaustive selection of the grapes and intervene as little as possible in the winemaking process, so as to be as faithful as possible to both the vintage and the vineyard. Fernando's activity in the 1970s and 1980s in Rioja Alavesa, buying and selling old vineyards, allowed him to select the most suitable estates in the region for his project.
