About the winery
Bodegas Rosario Vera is the Gil family's project, the family behind Bodegas Juan Gil in Jumilla, in Rioja Alavesa, within the D.O.Ca. Rioja and close to the Sierra de Cantabria. Its name recalls Rosario Vera, mother and co-founder of the family business more than a hundred years ago, and its wines are a tribute from her children and grandchildren to the woman with whom it all began. They work local vineyards, some over half a century old, in a landscape of dolmens and medieval walls, and focus mainly on lively Tempranillo. The range includes Honoro Vera Tempranillo, Ai ama!, Biloba de Vera, from selected plots, and the Amona crianza.
