Bodegas Ruiz de Viñaspre
About the winery
The winery was founded in 1910 by the current owner's grandfather and was located in the centre of Elvillar, parallel to the main square; wine was made in that winery until 1978, when another winery was built at the entrance to the village by the current owner and his father. It was in 2005 that the new project in Laguardia, beneath the Sierra de Cantabria, was undertaken; the capacity reached so far amounts to 1,000,000 litres in tanks, as well as a hall with capacity for 3,000 barrels devoted to ageing. All the grapes come from the owners' vineyard, which covers 30 ha.
