Bodegas Sel D'Aiz is a different kind of winery within the Costa de Cantabria vino de la tierra P.G.I. It is a family winery, currently run by Asier and Miriam. Its 5 hectares of vineyard face south–south-east, on a 19% slope, in order to receive as many hours of sun as possible; the soils derive mainly from granitic substrates, with a mild Atlantic climate; and it lies about 500 m above sea level in a mountain area.
