About the winery

Bodegas Herederos Torres Burgos is a winery in Lucena, in the province of Córdoba, within D.O. Montilla-Moriles. Its origins date back to 1890, when its vineyards were planted in the uplands of Moriles, an area considered of superior quality within the designation. In the 1950s, coinciding with the creation of the Regulatory Council, it was decided to build new premises and move all the ageing butts to Lucena. The grapes, of the Pedro Ximénez variety, are harvested in Moriles and taken to the Lucena winery, where the must is extracted and separated by quality and, after fermentation, the wine goes into butts for ageing. The winery, on Ronda de San Francisco, offers visits.
