Bodegas Urbanas
About the winery
Bodegas Urbanas is a winemaking project right in the old centre of Godella, a few kilometres from the city of Valencia and within the D.O. Valencia, founded by winemaker Diego Fernández Pons. It works as an organic micro-vinification winery and, at the same time, as a cultural space with its own wine bar and a tasting school. It makes wines such as Lo Necesario, from Bobal, Las Aves de Paso, El Árbol Blanco and the Ciento Volando range in red, rosé and white, with varieties such as Macabeo, Merseguera, Malvasía, Monastrell, Garnacha and Tempranillo, as well as craft vermouths and liqueurs. The visit tours the winery and the barrel area, explaining micro-vinification, and ends with a tasting of several wines with food pairing; it is offered in Valencian, Spanish and English, and there are tasting courses and vermouth workshops.
