About the winery
Bodegas Vega Menacho makes its wines on the El Pedregal estate, in the Condado de Huelva, on one of the highest hills in the area and about 35 kilometres from the Atlantic. The vineyard grows on albariza soil dotted with limestone and marine fossils, and the leading variety is Zalema. In the winery the grapes are sorted again at the press house and pressed by hand with low yields; the wines ferment in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, and some are fermented and aged in oak barrels, such as their oak-aged white. Its labels include Nerinea, Clementa, Gentío and the house's Colección Privada.
