About the winery
Bodega Vento is a small family project in Las Zocas, in the south of Tenerife and within the D.O. Abona. It was started in 2013 by Damián and Toñi in the back room of their home; Damián is a winemaker trained at wineries in Spain and Chile, and the family grows the grapes and handles the whole winemaking process. Their vineyards lie at around 1,400 metres, among pines and mountains, on volcanic soil of jable and black picón, on an estate registered for organic farming. They harvest by hand in September and bottle, cork and label one bottle at a time. They make Vento Tinto, from Castellana and Vijariego Negro aged in French oak, and two whites from Listán Blanco, one dry and one fruity. Visits are possible by booking in advance.
