About the winery

Viñedos y Bodegas El Barro is a family winery in Camarena, in the province of Toledo, whose origins go back to 1892, when the family first turned to wine. For years the grapes were picked and processed in the family homes, until the current winery was built, with stainless steel tanks, a bottling area and French and American oak barrels. Its vineyards grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Garnacha, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, Macabeo and Airén. Its best-known wine is Grand Vulture, a Cabernet Sauvignon with nine months in barrel; alongside it are Majazul, a Tempranillo aged in American oak, and the Pemaris range, with a young white, rosé and red. They also prepare personalised bottles for celebrations.
