About the winery
Bodegas Evine is a family winery in Yecla, on the Murcia high plateau, within the D.O. Yecla. Its origins go back to the second half of the 19th century, when the Martínez-Quintanilla family was already growing vines and making wine; the old cellar still stands on Calle San Luis in the town, and the current one was built in 2003 on the estate where its vineyards grow. Since 2010 it has worked organically, with hand harvesting, a double selection of grapes and fermentation in stainless steel, and its winemaking also follows vegan principles. Its reds include Llano Quintanilla, María Sarmiento, Kyathos and a sulphite-free Evine. It organises tastings and wine tourism activities, such as painting workshops with a tasting, and offers accommodation.
