About the winery
Bodegues Visendra is the Sendra family's project in Les Pobles (Aiguamúrcia, Tarragona), a stone's throw from the Santes Creus monastery. After generations of growing grapes and selling them to other wineries, in 2010 the Sendra brothers restored an old winery that had been closed since the seventies to make their own wine. They farm 89 hectares without pesticides or herbicides, certified organic by the CCPAE since 2018 and vegan since 2017, in an area that straddles Penedès and Tarragona; that is why they make their whites, rosés, reds and sparkling wines under the D.O. Catalunya. The guided tour takes you through the winery and ends with a tasting of three wines and a sparkling wine with cheese and toast, and you can also walk the estates with tastings among the vines. Tours in Spanish and Catalan, designed for the whole family: children up to 12 go free.
