About the winery
Can Gelat is a family-owned organic estate in Moscari, Mallorca, with its vineyard at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana, whose cool, dry winds air the vines. The slopes face different directions, helping the grapes ripen evenly, and the soils shape the style: white chalky soils bring freshness to the whites, while clay soils give structure to the rosés and reds. The grapes are farmed organically, in an environment designed to encourage biodiversity, and hand-picked to make five wines under the Vi de la Terra Mallorca designation. The estate offers tastings of its five wines with a guided walk through the vines, in versions with tapas, with a more elaborate selection of tapas or with a paella cooked on the spot.
