About the winery
Casa Gran del Siurana, S.L. was born from the desire of the Suqué and Mateu family, of Cavas y Vinos del Castell de Perelada (Girona), to produce high-quality wines within the Priorat DOQ. The company acquired two estates in 2000 totalling 50 hectares. On the estate called “Casa Gran” there is an 18th-century house that belonged to the Carthusian monks of Scala Dei, who promoted the art of winegrowing in the Priorat around the 12th century. The other estate, with terraces and slopes, is called “Fredat”.
