About the winery
Casar de Vide is located in the very heart of the Ribeiro D.O., just a few metres from the River Miño itself. The company chaired by winemaker Carlos Moro, Bodegas Familiares Matarromera, chose the name Casar de Vide because “casar” is the name for traditional Galician homes and “Vide” comes from its location in the municipality of Vide, famous for its traditional growing of vines. The winery covers an area of 2,200 square metres and was built in 1988 with dressed granite next to the historic house founded in 1957.
