About the winery
Castell dels Sorells began making its cavas in the early 1980s. At that time there was no winery in the Valencia region devoted to making cava. Thanks to the entrepreneurial spirit of its founders, two years later, in 1983, the first Valencian cava was toasted: Castell dels Sorells. It began in the Valencian town of Albalat dels Sorells, where its first ageing took place, and in the late 1980s, due to strong growth, it moved to the winegrowing town of Turís.
