About the winery
The Castro de Lobarzán winery is located in the village of Villaza (Monterrei). It is a family winery with 5.2 hectares of its own vineyards on slopes with a 7% gradient and sandy soils. One of its most important goals is to recover the area's native varieties (specifically those of the village of Villaza) by collecting material from these varieties for grafting. All the grapes made into wine here come from its own harvest, and the work is done by hand (pruning, harvesting, etc.).
