About the winery
Celler del Roure is a family winery in Moixent, in the Les Alcusses area, within the Terres dels Alforins district and the D.O. Valencia. Its aim is to express its land by reviving old varieties such as Arcos and Mandó and traditional methods such as ageing in buried clay jars instead of oak barrels. Its organically farmed vines grow at around 600 metres on sandy soils. It makes classic wines such as Maduresa and Les Alcusses and a line of old-style wines with Parotet, its first jar-aged red, Safrà, Cullerot and Vermell. The booked visit includes a tour of the winery and a tasting of three wines, Cullerot, Safrà and Les Alcusses, served with rosquilletas, thin local breadsticks.
