Celler Macià
About the winery
Celler Macià is a small winery in Camps, in the municipality of Fonollosa, at around 630 metres above sea level at the foot of the Serra de Castelltallat, within the D.O. Pla de Bages. Its origins go back to the 11th century, and today it farms some five hectares of organic vineyard, with small production. The local climate, with cool northerly winds and mild summer nights, encourages long, slow ripening. The varieties it grows are Syrah, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, from which it makes wines that aim to reflect this corner of inland Catalonia.
