Celler Piñól
About the winery
Celler Piñol is a family winery in Batea, in the D.O. Terra Alta. It has been committed to organic farming for around twenty years, without pesticides or herbicides, and its whole range is vegan-friendly. It works with native varieties from the area, shaped by the cierzo wind: Carignan, red Grenache, white Grenache, Garnacha Peluda and Morenillo. Its wines include Finca Morenillo, Mather Teresina, the L’Avi Arrufí line, which the family sees as the emblem of the house, Nostra Senyora del Portal and Raig de Raïm. Josefina Piñol, the third generation, makes two late-harvest sweet wines from almost century-old vines. Visitors can follow the path of the wine, from the vineyard to the ageing cellar, and visit Casa Piñol.
