Celler Son Prim
About the winery
In the early nineties Jaime Llabrés planted a small plot with a “tutti-frutti” of vines, including Chardonnay, Syrah, Cabernet and Merlot, to study how they adapted to Majorca's climate and soil. To vinify the first results from the various grape varieties we used small stainless-steel tanks fitted with a cooling system, which we placed under an enormous carob tree. Curiously, the results were very satisfactory. Ageing took place in barrels housed in the cool basement of a garage in Palma.
