About the winery
Clos de l'Obac (Costers del Siurana) was founded in 1897 and became one of the wineries of the so-called “renaissance of Priorat wines”. Based on the importance of a land with difficult terrain, the project set out to recapture the spirit of those old Carthusian wines by replanting and recovering some licorella slopes (costers), which made up the old lands that for centuries paid the tithe to the Charterhouse of Scala Dei (12th century).
