About the winery
The history of the winery, incorporated as a limited company in 2004, goes back to the mid-19th century, when its main buildings were erected: the wine press house and the winery. At the beginning of the 20th century the winery was renovated to expand it by a third of its original capacity, concentrating activity there and leaving the press house unused following the introduction of new pressing techniques. During the first half of the 20th century it was owned by the family of Senén Varela, mayor of Ribadavia in the 1920s.
