Envínate
About the winery
Envínate is a project by four winemakers who met while studying at the University of Alicante: Alfonso Torrente, José Ángel Martínez, Laura Ramos and Roberto Santana. They began by combining consultancy with their own wines, and they seek fresh, Atlantic-style wines that express the soils and grapes of each place. In the Ribeira Sacra, where Alfonso comes from, they farm steep slopes above the Miño and Sil under the Lousas brand, the local name for slate, with Mencía as the main grape alongside Merenzao and Garnacha Tintorera. They make Lousas Viño de Aldea and the single-plot wines Rosende, Seoane and Camiño Novo. Since the 2017 vintage they have sold them outside the D.O. Ribeira Sacra. They also make wine in Tenerife and in south-eastern Spain.
