About the winery
Finca El Molar is a family project in Fuentealbilla (Albacete), in the heart of the Manchuela D.O., now led by Rus Jiménez as the new generation. Its vineyards lie between 650 and 750 metres above sea level, on limestone and alluvial soils, in a landscape shaped by the Júcar and Cabriel rivers and marked by the Solano wind. They work mainly with local varieties under organic farming, with cover crops and minimal tillage, and in the winery they vinify each plot separately with minimal intervention. They make a skin-contact Macabeo that revives the area's traditional orange wines, a still and a pet-nat Moravia Agria, a Bobal, an estate Graciano, La Guarina, from a recovered field-blend vineyard in Alborea, and a Bobal ice wine. The estate also has a rural guesthouse.
