Finca la Lagunilla
About the winery
Finca La Lagunilla is the vineyard of Bodegas Casa Corredor, which makes its wine in Caudete, just inside Albacete, from grapes grown on this estate in the municipality of Villena, right on the border with Alicante. That is why its wines can be released under the D.O. Alicante or the IGP Tierra de Castilla. The winery was founded in 2003 and in 2013 joined MGWines Group, with the aim of recovering almost lost native varieties. It grows Monastrell, Tempranillo, Cabernet, Syrah, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Macabeo, and through its Alagú project it is reviving red Forcallat. It ferments in stainless steel and ages in French oak barrels in a cellar ten metres underground. The estate can be visited.
