About the winery

Finca Onegar is a winery in the Onegar area, on the outskirts of Purchena, in the Almanzora valley in the north of the province of Almería. Andalusia's official tourism portal presents it as one of the projects behind the revival of Almería wine, with high-altitude vineyards whose climate helps preserve the freshness and aromas of the grapes, and a commitment to sustainable farming. The estate combines the vineyard with other crops: it has an olive grove with trees more than 800 years old, fruit trees and farm animals, and irrigates with water from underground reserves. During harvest the grapes are processed on the estate itself. The winery welcomes visitors with a tour of the estate, wine tasting and food activities, and its wines and olive oil can be bought there.
